Role: Paraplanner
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £36,000 - £50,000
An established and growing Chartered financial planning firm in Central Birmingham is seeking a paraplanner to join its technical team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a genuinely client-focused business that values long-term relationships, high-quality advice, and the highest professional standards.

The Role
You will work closely with an experienced team of financial planners, supporting the delivery of holistic financial planning tailored to each client’s needs and long-term objectives.
This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious about their professional development. The business is keen to support the successful candidate towards achieving Chartered Financial Planner status over the coming years, so a strong interest in advancing technical knowledge and progressing into advice is essential.
You will be supported by a well-established administrative team who handle the majority of client queries. This allows the paraplanning role to focus on the technical elements of financial planning, including direct involvement in client meetings.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare suitability reports, cashflow models, and technical research to support Financial Planners.
*Conduct detailed research on pensions, investments, and protection solutions.
*Ensure all documentation meets FCA regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards.
*Liaise with clients and take an active part in client meetings.
*Liaise closely with advisers to ensure accurate and timely client recommendations.
*Support continuous improvement of paraplanning processes and workflows.
*Assist with more complex cases as experience develops
Requirements:
*Experience as a Paraplanner within an IFA or financial planning firm.
*Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, or progress towards this, with a desire to continue studying.
*Previous experience with pensions, investments, and protection products.
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
