ASD Teaching Assistant – 2:1 Support
Primary - Redbridge
Start: ASAP | Full Time | £110 per day
We’re recruiting a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to provide 2:1 support for students in a vibrant secondary school based in Tottenham (Haringey). This role is ideal for someone who is patient, consistent, and confident supporting young people with autism and additional needs.
*Providing 2:1 support to students with ASD to help them access learning and regulate throughout the school day.
*Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to follow personalised support plans.
*Using de-escalation techniques, positive behaviour strategies, and structured routines to maintain engagement.
*Supporting learning across a range of subjects and ensuring a safe, calm learning environment.
*Building strong, trusting relationships with students through empathy and consistency.
*Solid experience supporting students with ASD at secondary level.
*Confident using strategies like visual aids, structure, and calm communication.
*Someone reliable, proactive, and able to work as part of a supportive SEN team.
*DBS on the Update Service + right to work in the UK.
*Full-time role to July for the right person.
*Supportive school with a strong SEN team.
*Immediate start available.
