Job Description:
Senior Mobile Engineer
Hybrid
We’re looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to take ownership of a critical mobile platform transformation. This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role where you’ll architect a new React Native application from the ground up while stabilising and evolving an existing Kotlin Android app used in live rail environments.
If you enjoy working across both greenfield builds and complex legacy systems, and thrive in environments where your technical decisions have real-world impact, this role is for you.
Skills required:*6+ years of mobile engineering experience
*Strong Kotlin expertise (Clean Architecture, MVVM, DI, Coroutines/Flow)
*Proven React Native experience beyond UI (native modules, Bridge/JSI, performance)
*Experience integrating React Native into an existing Android codebase (brownfield)
*Track record of contributing to or leading mobile platform migrations
*Ability to make architectural decisions in high-risk, live environments
*Comfortable navigating ambiguity and switching between greenfield and legacy work
*Strong communication skills and experience in remote, cross-functional teams
Desirable skills:
*Experience migrating from native to cross-platform apps
*Background in transport, logistics, or regulated industries
*Familiarity with Android performance profiling tools
*Experience in B2B SaaS products
*Exposure to iOS/Swift architecture
