Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

*Taking ownership of management accounts
*Preparing and delivering weekly reporting, including a 13-week cash flow forecast
*Gathering financial data from key stakeholders
*Managing the monthly reporting cycle, including production of management accounts, balance sheet review and reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, payroll journals and review
*Investigating and resolving variances, analysing overheads and cost performance
*Supporting budgeting processes and building a strong understanding of business performance drivers
*Gradually taking on increased responsibility as you grow in the role

What you will need:

*AAT qualified and actively studying towards CIMA (or equivalent)
*Experience producing or contributing to management accounts in a similar role (Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Junior Accountant)
*Confident with balance sheet reconciliations and posting a variety of journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll)
*Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
*Experience with Sage 200 (or similar systems)
*A progressive, passionate approach and a genuine desire to learn and take on more
