Accounts Senior - To £45,000 + Benefits
One of south Devon’s most popular employers is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join their ambitious team which provides a range of accountancy and wider business support services across the southwest.
Your role will see you well supported and working with a diverse portfolio of Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies to provide high quality tax, accountancy and VAT services on a day to day basis. With your experience, you will also have the opportunity to provide training and support to junior staff to help them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare, and review accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
*Send final accounts to clients
*Independently set budgets for work and assist with accounts completion
*Provide on-the-job training and coaching for junior staff in the team
*Prepare and review tax returns, calculate income tax liabilities and advise clients accordingly
*Prepare and review corporation tax returns and calculate liabilities
*Handle forecasting work and everyday correspondence
*Manage tax enquiry work as it arises
*Prepare management and financial accounts
*Perform capital gains calculations for individuals
*Prepare and submit VAT returns
*Visit clients on-site as you see necessary in order to provide advice and support
*Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Skills and Qualifications:
*AAT-qualified (or above) with at least 2 years of professional practice experience
*Experience in accounts preparation, business and corporate tax, and ideally personal tax
*Strong IT / spreadsheet skills
*Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and accounts production software like CCH
*Strong client relationship-building skills
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently
*Experience supervising junior team members
