Nursery Deputy Manager – Hackney, London E8
Salary: Up to £18.00 per hour | £28,001.42 per year (pro rata, depending on experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday | 8:45am–4:15pm (flexibility needed between 7:45am–5:00pm)
Contract: Permanent, term time - not suitable for all year-round applicants
We are looking for a passionate Nursery Deputy Manager to join our friendly preschool in Hackney (E8). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, early years professional ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.
You will support the Manager in delivering outstanding childcare and education, while taking a lead on health and wellbeing across the setting, within a supportive environment that values training and development.

Responsibilities
*Support the day-to-day management of the preschool
*Lead health and wellbeing initiatives
*Coordinate 2-year-old health checks with health visitors
*Work alongside the SENCO to support additional needs
*Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating EYFS environment
*Build strong relationships with staff, families, and external agencies
About You
*Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
*Previous Room Leader or management experience
*Strong knowledge of EYFS and inclusive practice
*Excellent communication and leadership skills
*Passion for supporting children’s development
*Eligible to work in the UK
