Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Blackpool (Site-Based)
Salary: Circa £52,500
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing site in Blackpool. The Role:
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production equipment across the site. Working in a 12-hour shift pattern (days and nights), you’ll be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, helping to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
*Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of automated production machinery
*Diagnose faults and carry out electrical and mechanical repairs efficiently
*Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance
*Work collaboratively with production teams to reduce downtime and improve output
*Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and site standards
*Contribute to root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
About You:
*Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment
*Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
*Experience working with automated or high-speed machinery is desirable
*Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
*Proactive approach with a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement
*Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
