Job Description:
Elevation Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a growing organisation in their search for an Purchase Ledger Clerk/ Accounts Assistant to join an established and supportive finance team (team of 3).
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional with a solid grounding in transactional finance who is looking to further develop their skills. AAT study support is available following successful completion of probation, making this a great role for someone keen to progress their career.
The RoleReporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations, with a strong focus on the purchase ledger, while also assisting across the wider finance function.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing purchase ledger activities, including 3 way matching, supplier queries and managing relationships.
*Process high volume of invoices
*Resolve any discrepancies on the ledger
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
*Providing cover and support across credit control during periods of leave, including chasing payments and managing ledger
*Assisting with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks as required
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
*Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable, or similar finance role
*A good understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles
*Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Lookups
*Strong attention to detail, organisation, and accuracy
*A proactive, positive approach and the ability to work well within a team
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Experience using SAP (advantageous but not essential)
