We’re recruiting an experienced Groundworker / Machine Driver to join a respected civils contractor delivering ongoing works across electricity substation sites in the Greater Manchester and Lancashire areas.This is a permanent PAYE role working on a long-term framework programme, offering stability, consistent hours, and genuine progression opportunities for the right person.Your new role
*Groundworks associated with substation construction and upgrades
*Drainage installation - including deep and shallow drainage
*Concrete works - bases, plinths, and formwork
*Ducting installation for HV infrastructure
*Operating plant and machinery safely (360 excavator, dumper, or roller depending on tickets)
*Working to strict health & safety protocols on high-voltage sites
*Supporting the site teams to ensure deadlines are met to a high standard
What you’ll need to succeed
*Proven experience as a Groundworker and/or Machine Driver
*Valid CPCS or NPORS plant tickets (desirable)
*CSCS card required
*Experience on substation or utility projects is a strong advantage
*Full UK driving licence
*Strong awareness of site safety and compliance
