Our client is a well-established manufacturing business based in Washington. They are now seeking a proactive and ambitious Management Accountant to lead a small finance team and play a key role in linking finance with production and operations. This position is ideally suited to anactive CIMA or ACCA studier who is looking to broaden their experience and take real ownership within a hands-on business.
Please note this role is FULLY OFFICE BASED.
THE ROLE
*Prepare and manage monthly management accounts
*Journal preparation, prepayments and accruals
*Complete bank reconciliations across GBP, EUR and USD accounts
*Support the Finance Director with annual budgets and financial forecasts
*Present monthly finance packs to Directors and Board members
*Provide support, training and oversight to the Finance Assistant
*Prepare year-end audit documentation and liaise with external auditors
*Assist with costing, pricing and margin reviews
*Prepare quarterly VAT returns
*Support development and implementation of an effective MRP system
*Carry out additional financial tasks as required
THE CANDIDATE
*Strong management accounting knowledge aligned to the duties listed
*Actively studying CIMA or ACCA
*Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and telephone skills
*Prior experience in manufacturing or a related environment
*Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
