Job Description:
Careers Advisor
Location: Remote (with Day 1 onboarding onsite)
Contract: 6 weeks (potential short extension)
Rate: Up to £250/day (umbrella)
Hours: 37 horus per week
About the Role:
We’re seeking a qualified Careers Advisor to provide high-quality guidance to secondary students, focusing on those at risk or needing additional support. You’ll play a vital role in helping students make informed decisions at key transitions, including GCSE, post-16, and post-18 pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver 1:1 and group careers guidance sessions
*Support vulnerable or high-need students with tailored advice
*Maintain accurate student records, action plans, and follow-ups
*Collaborate with school leadership and stakeholders to identify priority students
Essential Skills & Experience:
*Level 6 Careers Advisor (Level 4 considered if no Level 6 available)
*Experience supporting post-16 students
*Knowledge of labour market trends, vocational and academic pathways
*Confident delivering individual and group guidance sessions
*Skilled in managing caseloads and maintaining detailed records
Compliance Requirements:
*Security clearance / Enhanced DBS
*Must attend Day 1 onboarding onsite plus once a month in the office
*Full-time (37 hours/week)
