Job Description:
My client is a growing Accountancy practice based in the Manchester area. The successful candidate will join our growing audit team in Manchester. Reporting directly to an Audit Partner, you will be responsible for supervising the progress of audit assignments from planning through to completion. You will also be reviewing the work of junior colleagues as well as coaching and supporting them in their development. You will be leading a team that will potentially carry out audits remotely or on client sites, so you will utilise a range of technological solutions in addition to your people skills to deliver a quality service, on time and on budget.
The right candidate for this tole will be a qualified accountant holding an ACA/ACCA qualification. You will also have experience of working within audit, team management and team development .
You will have experience in leading external audit assignments from planning to completion under International Standards on Auditing and preparing accounts in accordance with UK GAAP or IFRS. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, have strong communication skills to collaborate with senior staff and clients, and be a confident user of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel. If you’re motivated to take ownership of your role, deliver high-quality service, and have a sound understanding of key audit risks while knowing when to seek assistance please get in touch.
