Job Description:
Hays are working with a reputable organisation seeking a Part-Time Finance Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis for the next few months. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for flexible hours within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Your New Role
In this varied and fast-paced role, you will provide essential administrative and transactional support to the finance team. Key responsibilities include:Purchase Orders & Invoicing
*Matching invoices to purchase orders and checking for accuracy.
*Highlighting missing or incorrect PO information and escalating where required.
*Ensuring all documentation is processed in a timely and compliant manner.
Finance Inbox Management
*Acting as the first point of contact for the shared Finance Inbox.
*Monitoring, triaging, and responding to queries.
*Directing emails to the appropriate person when required and ensuring efficient follow-up.
Customer & Supplier Accounts
*Receiving and reconciling customer and supplier statements.
*Identifying discrepancies and following up on missing invoices or credit notes.
*Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes.
General Finance Support
*Providing wider administrative support to the finance team.
*Assisting during busy periods and contributing to smooth day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
*Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role.
*Strong attention to detail and confidence working with financial data.
*Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
*Ability to manage your own workload and work independently.
*Competence with finance systems and Microsoft Office.
