Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded Energy Analyst to join their growing team in Basingstoke. Previous experience from within the Energy sector is highly desirable.
Working within a close-knit team and reporting to the Bureau Manager, you will take ownership of data collection, validation, and reporting across a small portfolio of client accounts. Your work will directly support the accurate and timely delivery of our energy reporting services.
Key Responsibilities
*Collect and validate energy usage data from clients, suppliers, and third-party data sources
*Analyse and report on energy performance data for internal and external stakeholders
*Manage and build relationships with assigned clients, ensuring clear communication and service excellence
*Validate utility invoices and reconcile billing data with consumption records
*Identify errors, anomalies, or inefficiencies in data and pro actively work to resolve them
*Produce accurate, timely, and high-quality reports and performance dashboards
*Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests, ensuring data integrity
*Participate in internal quality assurance (QA) processes, reviewing and validating peer work
About You
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills essential
*Comfortable handling large datasets and performing complex data analysis
*Familiar with Power BI or willing to develop skills in data visualisation tools
*Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills; able to liaise effectively with clients and suppliers
*Self-motivated with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
*Demonstrates initiative and accountability in managing workloads
Desirable Experience
*Previous experience in a data or analyst role
*Exposure to utility billing, energy reporting, or invoice validation
*Experience using data analysis platforms or business intelligence tools

Core Hours: 10:00-12:00 & 14:00-15:30
