Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we have a position available for a Lecturer in Science on a part- time, permanent contract. In return,you will receive a competitive annual salary of £30,000 to £40,374 pro-rota.

Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Science to join our dynamic Science, Health & Humanities Directorate. As a Lecturer in Science, you will:
*Deliver high-quality, engaging and inclusive teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 Science programmes, as well as Access to HE Science & Health Professions pathways
*Develop learning materials aligned to awarding-body requirements (OCR, Pearson, CAVA)
*Provide academic and pastoral support as a Personal Tutor
*Offer constructive, meaningful feedback that helps students progress and succeed
*Support learners with work placements, work-related activities and enrichment
*Contribute to curriculum design, development and continuous quality improvement
*Participate in open evenings, school liaison, employer engagement and wider College events.

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
*Qualified to degree level (or higher) in a Science discipline such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Biomedical Science
*Experienced in the science industry and/or successful teaching practice
*Skilled at communicating with diverse groups of learners
*Creative, adaptable and passionate about helping young people thrive
*Digitally confident, with experience using VLEs and Microsoft Office
*Knowledgeable about current teaching and learning strategies
*Committed to safeguarding, inclusivity and delivering high-quality learning
*A teaching qualification (Level 5 or higher) is desirable, but we welcome applicants willing to work towards it
