Are you a recent graduate (Class of , or 2026) eager to launch your career in accounting and finance? Our client is looking for motivated individuals with a strong numerical aptitude who either hold an AAT qualification or are actively working towards it.
This is a permanent, office-based role paying up to £27,000, supporting multiple branches and offering variety, hands-on experience, and the chance to develop within a dynamic, multi-site business. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing sales ledger processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the wider finance function.
This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with minimal or no prior professional experience to gain exposure to real accounting and finance responsibilities. You will develop essential skills, including:
*Financial reporting, bookkeeping, and reconciliations
*Budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis
*Use of Excel and accounting software for real-world business operations
Key Responsibilities:
*Posting daily banking transactions
*Processing and reconciling incoming payments
*Monitoring and maintaining customer accounts (debtors)
*Carrying out credit control duties, including chasing overdue payments and resolving queries
*Ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions to the general ledger
*Managing ad hoc financial duties, including staff expenses, parking fines, and speeding fines
*Liaising with internal departments to resolve customer account issues
*Assisting with month-end close procedures and reconciliations
*Supporting the finance team with continuous improvement initiatives
