Job Description:
Serve Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Fakenham, seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their workshop team.
This is a hands-on position focused on the assembly, fitting, and maintenance of a range of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assemble, fit, and test mechanical components and machinery
*Interpret engineering drawings and technical diagrams
*Work with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
*Carry out maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs
*Ensure all work meets required quality and safety standards
*Support machinery builds and assist with occasional installation work
Requirements:
*Proven experience in mechanical fitting or machinery assembly
*Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
*Solid knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g. bearings, moving parts)
*Basic electrical or hydraulic knowledge is advantageous
*Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
*Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or similar) desirable
*Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Salary & Benefits:
*Up to £33,500 per annum
*Overtime and bonus opportunities
*40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm), with overtime available
