Desian Education are happy to announce that they are supporting a highly regarded two-form entry primary school in Warrington as they require an experienced and motivated teaching assistant to join their KS2 (key stage 2) cohort on a full-time temporary basis. This role will be commencing on 20/04/2026 and will last the remainder of the academic year.
Your new role
In your new role as a teaching assistant you will be joining a year 5 class, working in collaboration with the class teacher to promote the engagement and learning of all pupils by utilising an array of learning resources and building strong constructive relationships. You will support all pupils across the class, planning and delivering bespoke interventions in required attainment areas, including intense small group sessions with lower ability pupils. This school has a large number of EAL pupils across KS2 so you will also support with 1:1 ESL sessions across years 4, 5 and 6.
What you need to succeed
*Full "Right to Work" in the UK
*Recent referenceable experience as a teaching assistant
*Good knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum
*Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
*Experience supporting EAL
