Job Description:
Clinical Administrator
*Location: Truro
*Salary: £13.45 p/h
*Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30 (opportunity for overtime)
*Contract Type: Temporary
Join our client’s team as a Clinical Administrator, where you will play a crucial role in managing patient data and communications efficiently. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of clinical services and enhancing patient experiences by maintaining accurate records and liaising effectively with various stakeholders.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Cleanse and maintain accurate patient wait lists using the Dentally Patient Management System.
*Input and transfer data between systems with precision and attention to detail.
*Make outbound calls to patients and carers, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
*Liaise effectively with internal teams, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders to support patient care and administrative processes.
*Capture patient notes, data, and correspondence efficiently and accurately.
*Work to agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance targets, maintaining productivity and data accuracy.
*Maintain confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies, including GDPR.
*Identify and escalate issues or inconsistencies in patient records to the appropriate clinical or administrative team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with sensitivity when handling confidential information.
*Professional phone manner and commitment to delivering a positive patient experience.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
*Proficiency with patient management systems (experience with Dentally preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
*Professionalism, discretion, and understanding of confidentiality requirements.
*Strong organisational skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
*Ability to meet performance targets and KPIs consistently.
*Problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
Qualifications & Experience:
*Previous experience in administration, ideally within a healthcare or patient-facing environment.
*Experience handling sensitive information and working with patient data.
*Familiarity with KPIs, targets, and performance-driven objectives is desirable.
Other Requirements:
*Flexible approach to work and willingness to undertake training as required.
*Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
*Commitment to patient-centred service and continuous improvement in administrative processes.
