Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in their lives. As a Residential Support Worker, you will assist in implementing care plans, providing support, and ensuring the well-being of the children under your care. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals are essential for this role.

Responsibilities
*Provide direct support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
*Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
*Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and educational development.
*Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents that occur during care sessions.
*Communicate effectively with families, providing updates on their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.
*Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers and healthcare providers, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
*Engage in activities that promote learning and development, including play-based learning and educational outings.
*Drive children to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safe transport at all times.
Requirements
*Previous experience of working with children
*Highly empathetic and knowledge of the impact of trauma on children.
*Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and colleagues.
*Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is beneficial.
*Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating via digital platforms.
*A compassionate nature with a commitment to supporting children’s needs in a nurturing environment.
Preferred
*Any qualifications related to childcare
*A valid UK driving licence is preferred for transporting children as needed.
*A valid children’s workforce DBS that is on the update system.
