Classroom Teacher - Specialist SEN Setting (Canterbury)
Full-Time | Permanent, Long-Term & Supply Opportunities
Are you a passionate teacher looking for a more meaningful and rewarding role?
We are working with a well-established specialist SEN school in Canterbury, supporting pupils aged 4-19 with a range of complex needs including autism, severe learning difficulties, and communication needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step away from the pressures of mainstream education and into a setting where relationships, individual progress, and pupil wellbeing are the priority.
The Role*Deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to individual needs
*Support pupils with ASD, SLD, and complex learning needs
*Work closely with teaching assistants and a wider multidisciplinary team
*Focus on communication, life skills, and engagement as well as academic development
*Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Why SEN?*Smaller class sizes with additional adult support
*Less focus on rigid targets, more focus on meaningful progress
*Strong emphasis on relationships and holistic development
