Job Description:
We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Receptionist to join a well-established law firm based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with front-of-house or administrative experience looking to build a career within a professional services environment.
The Role
As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality front-of-house experience. Based on reception, you will ensure all clients and visitors receive a warm, professional welcome while supporting the wider team with administrative duties.
Key responsibilities include:
*Handling incoming calls and directing enquiries efficiently
*Managing meeting room bookings (internal and external)
*Preparing and resetting meeting rooms
*Coordinating travel requests including taxis and train tickets
*Supporting the facilities team when required
*Assisting with administrative tasks such as document preparation, conflict checks, and matter opening
*Compiling electronic bundles for legal use
*General office duties including scanning, copying, and filing
About You
*Highly organised, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
*Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role (essential)
*Ideally, experience within a professional services environment
*Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
*Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
*The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
*A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
