Reward Advisor - Compensation


Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - 2 days a week in the office)
Duration: 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus bonus


Our client, a leading financial services company, is seeking a Reward Advisor to join their established Rewards team. In this role you will be supporting the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive compensation and benefits offering to ensure the client remains an employer of choice.
You will work closely with the Reward and wider HR team to ensure the smooth running of all remuneration schemes including external bench-marking, analysis, plan design & calculation & processing of payments.
You will be responsible for delivering and supporting a wide range of cyclical HR processes and will continually seek to improve the employee experience through customer service and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and support the design, review and communication of reward, bonus and compensation schemes, ensuring they align with business objectives and wider reward strategy.
*Manage the calculation, verification and processing of all bonus and incentive payments, ensuring accuracy, compliance and smooth integration with payroll operations.
*Contribute to a wide range of reward projects, providing research, analysis, and delivery support for short-term initiatives that enhance the organisation’s compensation & benefits offering.
*Support enhancements to the Employee Value Proposition through policy review, benchmarking, and continuous improvement to keep the organisation competitive in the employment market.
*Provide expert, consultative reward and benefits advice to managers, HR Business Partners and wider HR colleagues, acting as a trusted subject-matter specialist.
*Work collaboratively with HR teams to drive and embed Reward Architecture and Salary Management frameworks across the organisation, improving consistency and governance.
*Support the delivery of reward analytics, including external benchmarking and evaluation, to ensure roles remain market-aligned and competitive.
*Oversee operational accuracy by guiding support teams on reward administration processes, ensuring timely and compliant workflow management.
*Manage relationships with third-party reward and benefits providers, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation and tracking follow-up actions to maintain seamless service delivery.


What we’re looking for:
*Experience in a Compensation or Reward role
*Proven background in bonus schemes, benchmarking, and reward analysis
*Data analysis skills in Excel and (Power BI experience desirable)
*Ability to work at pace and manage multiple deadlines
*Experience in financial services or a regulated environment is desirable
