Your new role
This is initially a 12 month contract position that has the potential to extend.
The role is fully based on site at the company’s labs.
As a Scientist in antibody formulation development, you will support non-clinical and clinical programs by developing, analysing, and optimising formulations for monoclonal antibodies and novel therapeutic formats.
Key responsibilities include:
*Performing analytical and formulation experiments to support toxicology and clinical studies
*Conducting protein/antibody analysis using methods such as HPLC/UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology, and sub-visible particle analysis
*Supporting pre-formulation and formulation laboratory activities, including setup and resource coordination
*Authoring protocols, reports, and technical documentation based on an understanding of protein degradation mechanisms

What you’ll need to succeed
You should have:

*Strong hands-on lab experience with the analysis of large molecules (proteins, peptides, antibodies, etc) using a variety of techniques, preferably in an industry setting, eg a pharmaceutical company, biotech or CRO
*Direct experience with protein/antibody analytical methods (HPLC/UPLC, iCE, UV, DLS, CGE, rheology, MFI)
*Experience in formulation development and/or automation is an advantage
*Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork abilities
All candidates MUST have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship until at least April 2027.
What you’ll get in return
