Minute Taker/Business Support Officer
*Job Type: Temporary, Full-time (Hybrid)
*Location: Talbot Road, Manchester, M32 0TH
*Duration: 1-2 months
*Pay: £13.32 per hour PAYE
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Minute Taker/Business Support Officer to join Trafford Council’s Children’s Safeguarding Business Support team. This role is crucial in supporting Child Protection Conferences and ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people by working collaboratively with local stakeholders.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Produce accurate, concise, and timely records during Child Protection Conferences and other highly confidential meetings.
*Ensure compliance with statutory timescales and manage the timely distribution of meeting records.
*Undertake various administrative tasks to support the wider department, maintaining high standards in all general office duties.
*Arrange, send invitations, and administer the before and after processes of Child Protection Conferences.
*Carry out, monitor, and reconcile financial transactions in accordance with council policy and financial regulations.
*Input and maintain data in various IT systems, providing accurate analysis and management information.
*Ensure proper archiving of documents and manage the annual review of files.
*Prepare for, attend, and provide professional support in meetings and events, including taking minutes and handling subsequent arrangements.
*Manage a dedicated email box, ensuring the distribution of all relevant information as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven administrative and organisational skills, including experience in minute-taking directly onto a laptop.
*Proficient with Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
*Ability to prioritise and plan your own workload effectively.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills with a methodical approach to information gathering, recording, and reporting.
*Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
