Accounts Assistant – 6-Month Fixed Term Contract

Contract: Full-time, 6-month FTC
Driving Requirement: Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support a busy finance team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent accuracy, and experience working within a finance or accounts environment.

You will be responsible for a range of transactional finance duties, supporting both the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, as well as assisting with month-end tasks.
Due to occasional travel between sites and banks, a full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
*Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
*Matching, batching, and coding invoices
*Supplier statement reconciliations
*Preparing payment runs
*Resolving supplier queries
Accounts Receivable
*Raising customer invoices
*Allocating payments
*Chasing outstanding debt via phone and email where required
*Producing customer statements
General Finance Support
*Assisting with bank reconciliations
*Supporting month-end processes
*Maintaining accurate financial records and filing
*Processing expenses
*Liaising with internal departments to resolve discrepancies
*Providing general administrative support to the finance team
Skills & Experience Required
*Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, or similar role
*Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
*Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
*Confident communicator with the ability to build positive working relationships
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
*Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
