Job Description:
Our client BAE Systems, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a specialism in NC/ CMM Programming, machining, fabrication to join their team on a contract basis in Warton near Preston. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, with a focus on precision manufacturing to support military and aerospace innovations.
Key Responsibilities:*Ensuring high standards of quality and precision in machining operations
*Collaborating closely with engineering and production teams to address technical challenges
*Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to create accurate programs
*Carrying out routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machining equipment
*Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations
*Documenting all machining processes and maintaining accurate records
*Providing technical support and training to junior machinists as required
*writing processes on manufacture of one off parts for an aerospace project
Job Requirements:*Experience in NC/ CMM programming/ machining/ fabrication
*Strong background in precision machining and an understanding of manufacturing processes
*Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
*Proficiency in using industry-standard CAD/CAM software
*Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
*Effective communication and collaboration abilities
*Flexibility to work onsite four days a week, with the option to work from home on Fridays
Contract Details:*Location: Warton
*Contract Duration: 12 months
*Flexibility: Onsite for 4 days a week, Fridays at home
