Thrive Practitioner - Secondary School
Location: Preston
Start Date: After Easter
Duration: 8 Weeks
Hours: Full-time (school hours)
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
A secondary school in Preston is looking to appoint a Thrive Practitioner to join their team after Easter for an 8-week placement. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with their emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement in education.
The successful candidate will work closely with students who require additional pastoral and emotional support, delivering targeted interventions and helping to create a safe and supportive environment where young people can thrive.
The role will involve:*Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils
*Delivering Thrive-based interventions
*Supporting students with emotional regulation, confidence, and social development
*Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
*Working alongside the pastoral and SEN teams to meet individual student needs
The ideal candidate will have:*Thrive Practitioner training - essential
*Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
*A strong understanding of emotional wellbeing and behaviour support
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*A calm, patient, and nurturing approach

This role would suit someone with experience in pastoral support, behaviour mentoring, youth work, or SEN support within a school setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
