Finance Manager
*Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 pro rata
*Location: Hybrid (Office based + Home working)
*Job Type: Part-time (3 days per week, 22.5 hours)
*Term: Permanent
We are recruiting on behalf of a company in Newcastle who are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the management of the full financial process, including management accounts, forecasts, and budgeting. This role offers a fantastic development opportunity for a part-qualified accountant aiming to expand their expertise and complete their qualification.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with auditors.
*Management of cash flow reporting and forecasting.
*Supporting all internal departments on finance-related matters.
*Overseeing credit control and tax compliance (PAYE, N.I., VAT, and Corporation Tax).
*Conducting client/service profitability analysis.
*Providing support to the Finance Officer.
*Managing payroll operations, either directly or through a subcontractor.
*Performing ad hoc analysis as required.
*Reporting directly to the Managing Director and having line responsibility for the Finance Officer.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Part qualification in a professional accountancy body.
*Familiarity with month-end reporting and processes.
*Experience in new system design and implementation.
*Proficiency in Office 365 and financial software packages.
*Demonstrable knowledge of financial processes, ideally in a commercial consultancy setting.
*Experience in producing user-friendly and accurate management accounts.
*A thorough understanding of financial compliance and legislation.
