Due to company growth, we are looking for an Entry-Level Assembly Technician to join our technology client at their site, based west of Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career, or looking to move into a hands-on technical role, as full training will be provided.
As an Assembly Technician, the successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly of various small assemblies, handling of parcels, and assisting in all areas of the Operations Department. No prior assembly experience is required, as full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop the necessary technical skills.
You will assist with the manufacture and testing of electronic, mechanical, and optical components, as well as packing and assembly of the company’s products. You will use a combination of electronics and mechanical engineering skills, for which all necessary training will be provided.
This is a full-time position (36 hours a week with a half day on Friday) and will be 100% office based. PLEASE NOTE: Location is accessible via public transport, but you will need to check route options.
Typical tasks would include but not limited to:


*Packing final products into large crates
*Assist other Assembly Technicians
*Cable assembly and some mechanical/electrical assembly
*Updating instruction manuals
*Testing of equipment
*Assisting with quality control/unit testing
*Handling inbound and outbound goods
*Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
*Assisting R&D / Engineering in small projects
