You’ll be joining a well-established and growing organisation within the financial services sector, operating across multiple international entities. The business is currently undergoing a period of transformation, with a number of finance initiatives, projects and systems improvements underway, making this an exciting time to join the team.

Your new role
As an Accounts Payable professional, you will take ownership of the purchase ledger across multiple entities, ensuring accurate processing, timely payments and a high standard of service to both internal and external stakeholders. This role plays a key part in supporting month-end close and maintaining strong financial controls within a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Managing the Accounts Payable inbox and maintaining payables documentation
*Processing supplier invoices accurately, ensuring correct coding to nominal and cost centres
*Managing weekly payment runs, including supplier payments and employee expenses
*Resolving invoice and payment queries with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
*Administering employee expenses via an expenses management system
*Supporting month-end close, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations
*Maintaining the fixed asset register and posting correcting journals where required
*Assisting with monthly and year-end reporting as needed

What you’ll need to succeed
*Available to start immediately
*Proven experience managing the purchase ledger independently within a medium-sized organisation
*Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including accruals, prepayments and journals
*Experience running payment cycles and working within a controlled payables environment
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve errors
*Experience using an expenses management system
*Multi-currency experience
*Experience working within the insurance sector is desirable
