Temporary Complaints Officer (Housing Needs) – Wembley
Hybrid | 36 hours per week | £23.81 PAYE / £31.35 Umbrella | Immediate Start | Until October (possible extension)
Are you a customer-centric superstar with a passion for resolving housing-related issues?
We’re looking for an experienced Complaints Officer to help clear a backlog of Stage 1 complaints covering housing needs, homelessness, and temporary accommodation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Investigating Stage 1 complaints
Working closely with the Housing Needs team to produce high-quality written responses
Delivering fair, evidence-based outcomes
Ensuring a compassionate, resident-focused approach
Who We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from applicants with:
Local Authority experience
Homelessness & housing complaints expertise
Housing Ombudsman experience (advantageous!)
Awareness of key legislation:
*Housing Act 1996 Part VII
*Homelessness Reduction Act 2018
*Localism Act 2011
Working Arrangements
Location: Wembley
Hybrid: 3 days a week in the office (Monday = mandatory)
36 hours per week
Contract: Until October, with potential to extend
