Job Description:
Title: Interim Finance Manager (18-Month FTC)
Location: Camberley (Hybrid)
Salary: £70,000 – £75,000
Reports to: Financial Controller
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Interim Finance Manager to join one of the UK’s largest and most respected property services groups. Stepping into this contract, you will lead the monthly management accounting for the Group’s Lettings divisions. This is a critical role within a high-volume, multi-site business, requiring a leader who can balance the technical integrity of the general ledger with the commercial insight needed to partner with Divisional Managing Directors.
What you will be doing:
*Take full line management responsibility for a team of three management accountants (ranging from trainee to fully qualified), focusing on their development, performance reviews, and daily output.
*Manage the end-to-end month-end reporting process, ensuring management accounts are delivered accurately and within strict Group timetables.
*Meet regularly with Divisional MDs and Department Heads to review P&Ls, providing insightful analysis on monthly results and highlighting areas of overspend or concern.
*Maintain and recommend best-practice financial procedures; ensure consistency in accounting treatment across all entities and divisions.
*Oversee the timely completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all issues are resolved promptly.
*Act as the primary point of contact for audit queries and support the Financial Controller on ad hoc projects driven by the Group’s substantial growth plans.
What we are looking for:
*ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
*Proven experience in managing a team is essential, including conducting 1-2-1s and driving staff development.
*Experience within multi-site businesses dealing with high volumes of data and multiple cost centres is required. Knowledge of the property market is a distinct advantage.
*Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes. You should be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs).
*Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (GP, AX, or 365) is highly desirable.
*A strong team player who can communicate financial complexities to stakeholders at all levels of the business.
Why Join:
This contract offers the chance to embed yourself in an award-winning national group that prioritises its people. You will operate in a supportive, collaborative environment and will have access to market-leading training and professional development, ensuring that your time with the business adds significant value to your career trajectory.
