*Job Type: Temporary, Full-time
*Contract Duration: 5-6 months
*Location: Bolton, Lancashire, BL2 2JW
*Working Hours: 9am till 5pm (Hybrid)
*Pay: £13.77 per hour PAYE
Bolton Council are seeking an Administrator to provide essential support to their Child Death Overview Panel. This role is crucial for the effective management of sensitive and confidential information related to child death reviews. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of databases and experience in taking minutes at complex multi-agency meetings. An understanding of health terminology will be advantageous.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Update the eCDOP system, ensuring the effective management of notifications, data collection, and secure storage of highly sensitive and confidential information.
*Support the Chair of the Bolton, Salford, and Wigan CDOP in fulfilling their role and responsibilities, providing effective administration support for the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) meetings and the Child Death Review (CDR) process.
*Liaise with the Chair of the Child Death Review Meeting (CDRM) to receive the meeting’s summary notes (draft Analysis Form).
*Organise meetings of the CDOP, including booking venues, drafting agendas, and circulating agendas and all relevant information packs to CDOP members within agreed timescales.
*Contribute to the development and implementation of Children’s Social Care admin services.
*Work effectively with other team members to improve the work of the team.
*Plan, manage, and develop your work to meet specified requirements and deadlines.
*Record, store, and supply information by organising, maintaining, and using information systems including databases.
*Respond and communicate effectively to internal and external customers.
*Research, prepare, and present a range of documents from various sources to specified deadlines.
*Prepare and maintain documents for storage and archiving following Departmental and Council guidelines.
*Coordinate the distribution of mail, including monitoring, ordering, and distributing specified goods and services.
*Handle the receipting, recording, monitoring, and making of payments in line with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
*Contribute to the scheduling, organising, and coordinating of activities, resources, and events including travel and accommodation and meeting venues.
*Attend meetings to take complex minutes directly to a laptop and produce appropriate final documentation.
*Transcribe and produce documents from recorded speech.
*Build effective working relationships, both within the Department and with partner agencies, to develop effective services.
*Organise repairs to premises and equipment.
*Undertake additional duties as reasonably commensurate with the level of the post.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong understanding of databases.
*Proven experience in taking minutes at complex multi-agency meetings.
*Knowledge of health terminology is advantageous.
*Excellent organizational and communication skills.
*Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
*Proficient in using various information systems and office software.
