Job Description:
A rare and highly attractive opportunity has arisen with a well-established and highly regarded wealth management firm in St Albans. This boutique practice is seeking a Chartered Financial Adviser to join their collaborative, close-knit team and take over a fully established client portfolio as part of a carefully managed succession plan.
With a senior adviser relocating to Australia later this year, you will benefit from a structured and extended handover, giving you the time and support needed to build meaningful relationships and ensure a seamless transition for clients.
The Opportunity
This is not a "build-your-own-book" role. You will inherit and manage a portfolio of approximately 60 high-quality clients, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional advice rather than business development.
You’ll be supported by an experienced in-house team of Paraplanners and Financial Administrators, enabling you to concentrate on client strategy, relationship management, and holistic financial planning.
Investment Approach
The firm prides itself on a disciplined, evidence-based investment philosophy, partnering with Dimensional Fund Advisors. The focus is firmly on long-term planning and client outcomes, rather than short-term market timing or active fund selection.
Client Profile
You will work with an established and loyal client base:
*Typical AUM: £250,000 – £3 million
*Clients value long-term relationships and ongoing advice
*Strong emphasis on trust, continuity, and personalised planning
Working Environment
*St Albans-based office with a supportive team culture
*Hybrid working available (0–3 days in the office once established)
*A genuinely collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on quality over quantity
Package
*£70,000 basic salary
*Discretionary bonus (typically 5–8%)
*Long-term stability within a respected and growing firm
What We’re Looking For
*Chartered Financial Planner (CII)
*Strong technical financial planning expertise
*Proven ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships
*A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to work independently
Why This Role Stands Out
Opportunities to inherit a well-maintained client bank with a structured handover are extremely rare. This role is ideal for an adviser who values:
*Long-term client relationships
*High-quality, ethical financial planning
*Being part of a supportive and professional team
Please contact Sam at Financial Divisions for more information for this role, thank you.
