Senior Commercial Underwriter - Alderley Edge
A technical underwriting role with real input, not just referrals and sign-offs.
A growing MGA in Alderley Edge is looking for a Senior Commercial Underwriter to support the build and development of its commercial portfolio.
The role
*Underwrite cross-class commercial risks across Property, Liability and PI
*Review and price business with a focus on quality and profitability
*Support the development and scaling of new schemes and products
*Monitor portfolio performance and maintain underwriting discipline
*Work closely with senior underwriting leadership
What they’re looking for
*Strong commercial underwriting experience across multiple classes
*Technically minded with attention to detail and wording knowledge
*Comfortable making underwriting decisions
*Experience within an MGA or insurer environment beneficial
*Someone who values underwriting quality over volume
