Job Description:
This role involves managing and processing payroll for over 150 employees across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments. The position also includes handling payroll-related queries, collaborating with HR to maintain employee data, and providing general finance administration support.
Key Responsibilities:
*Process monthly payroll for 150+ employees using Sage Payroll, including group companies and seasonal staff.
*Calculate wage increments, overtime, holiday pay, tax deductions, and insurance contributions.
*Ensure tax codes and payroll data are accurate and up to date.
*Issue tax forms (e.g., P45s) and assist employees in completing them.
*Enroll staff in the company pension scheme at the appropriate time.
*Maintain organised filing systems for payroll records.
*Address payroll queries related to timesheets, payslips, and other matters.
*Audit payroll processes to ensure compliance with government regulations.
*Prepare annual P11D information and journal payroll data into the finance system promptly.
*Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed.
*Develop and refine payroll procedures for efficiency and compliance.
*Analyse payroll data and prepare reports as required.
*Implement salary changes via payroll with appropriate approvals/signatories.
