Job Description:
The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy firm based in Romford, who are looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to take ownership of their credit control function.
This is a key role within the business, focused on managing client debtors, improving cashflow, and building strong relationships with clients to ensure timely payment.
The firm offers a flexible working environment, with part-time hours and the potential for hybrid or remote working.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
• Managing the full credit control function
• Chasing outstanding debt in a professional and diplomatic manner
• Building strong relationships with clients to ensure prompt payment
• Resolving queries efficiently and effectively
• Producing aged debtor reports and providing updates to partners
• Implementing and improving credit control processes where required
What We are Looking For
• Proven experience within a credit control role, ideally within an accountancy practice or professional services environment
• A strong track record of reducing debtor days and improving cash collection
• Excellent communication skills, able to be firm but diplomatic
• Highly organised with a proactive approach
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the function
