The Purchase Ledger Assistant will support the Purchase Ledger department on a permanent basis with hybrid working available after probation.

*Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for the Purchase Ledger department.
*Manage the Purchase Ledger inbox and allocate accordingly.
*Support with processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
*Assist in the preparation of payment runs and ensure compliance with company policies.
*Respond to supplier queries and resolve discrepancies effectively.
*Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
*Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
*Support the month-end closing process by providing necessary documentation.
*Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable function.
Profile
A successful Purchase Ledger Assistant should have:
*Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
*Understanding of Purchase Ledger.
*Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders over the phone.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
*Willingness to learn and develop.
*Able to commute to our client’s offices 3 days per week.
