Behaviour Mentor / SEMH Teaching Assistant
East London
£110 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Full-time | Long-term
Start: After Easter
We are currently working with a supportive and well-run school in East London looking to appoint a strong Behaviour Mentor / SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team after the Easter holidays.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in youth work, sports coaching, or supporting children with additional needs, particularly those with SEMH, ASD, or ADHD.
The Role:*Supporting students with challenging behaviour on a 1:1 or small group basis
*Working closely with pupils with SEMH needs
*Helping to regulate behaviour and keep students engaged in learning
*Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
*Supporting both in and out of the classroom
The Ideal Candidate:*Experience working with children or young people (school, PRU, youth work, coaching etc.)
*Confident managing behaviour and setting boundaries
*Calm, patient, and resilient personality
*Strong communication skills
*A genuine interest in supporting vulnerable students
Requirements:*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (ESSENTIAL)
*Right to work in the UK
*Available full-time
