Job Title: Purchase Ledger Assistant

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a well-established business based in Castleford on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced finance environment and can hit the ground running.
You will play a key role in supporting the finance team with the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger function.
Key Responsibilities*Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
*Matching, batching and coding invoices
*Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
*Preparing payment runs
*Handling supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
*Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties when required
About You*Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable role
*Comfortable processing high volumes of invoices
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Confident using accounting systems and Excel
*Able to work independently and hit the ground running
