Service Controller - Horsham | £28,000 - £30,000 plus bonus and clear progression
We’re recruiting a Service Controller to join a busy and well-established operation in Horsham, offering a salary of £28,000 - £30,000. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll be central to coordinating engineers, equipment, and service activity, while benefiting from long-term development and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:In this role, you’ll take ownership of the service function, including:
*Scheduling and allocating work for Field and Workshop Engineers
*Planning and coordinating all PPM and statutory inspections
*Logging, prioritising, and managing breakdowns and defect reports
*Ordering, tracking, and managing spare parts from suppliers
*Keeping the Hire Desk and customers updated on repair progress and downtime
*Maintaining accurate service, maintenance, and compliance records
*Ensuring all work meets Health & Safety and industry standards
*Processing job sheets, checking labour hours, and handling service invoices
What we’re looking for:To succeed as a Service Controller, you’ll ideally have:
*Experience on the hire or service side of a plant hire business, or a closely related industry
*A background working as a controller within engineering, service, or maintenance operations
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
*Confident communication skills when dealing with engineers and customers
