Multiskilled Shift Engineer
Location: Confidential | Shift-Based Role
Salary: £56,500
We are supporting a growing, multi-site manufacturing business in hiring a Multiskilled Shift Engineer to join their team. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving machinery to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
You will play a key role in maximising equipment reliability and supporting production targets across both electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities*Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance
*Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
*Respond quickly to breakdowns and support production teams
*Conduct routine equipment inspections
*Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
*Maintain accurate maintenance records
*Assist with installation and commissioning of equipment
*Follow health and safety standards
Experience & Qualifications*Experience in manufacturing, production, or similar environment
*Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge (e.g. PLCs, hydraulics, motors, conveyors)
*Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
*Able to work independently and as part of a team
*Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
*Good communication skills
