Temporary School Caretaker
Full Time Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Contract: Temporary - approximately 4 weeks
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday)

We are seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to support a school in Newcastle on a full-time temporary basis for approximately 4 weeks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well maintained throughout the school day.
Duties will include:
*Opening and locking up the school premises
*Carrying out basic maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks
*Ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times
*Managing site security and responding to alarms
*Setting up rooms for school activities and events
*General caretaking and grounds maintenance duties
Essential Requirements:
*Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service - essential for this assignment
*Previous experience working as a caretaker, ideally within a school environment
*Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
*Good practical and DIY skills
*Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
