Job Description:
Are you an enthusiastic English teacher with a passion for language, literature, and learning? Reed Education is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and well-established secondary school in Scunthorpe in their search for a Teacher of English, starting September 2026.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to teach English across KS3 and KS4, inspiring students to build confidence in reading, writing, and communication while nurturing a genuine love for literature.
In this role, you will:
*Deliver engaging, creative lessons that bring the English curriculum to life
*Monitor and assess student progress, offering clear and supportive feedback
*Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive
*Play an active part in the wider school community and extracurricular life
Who We’re Looking ForWe’re keen to hear from teachers who have:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*A degree in English or a closely related subject
*Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
*Strong interpersonal skills and confident classroom management
*A strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
