Job Purpose
To work as part of a team to deliver a seasonally led, best-value, customer-focused environmental maintenance service throughout Leicestershire .
You will work flexibly, efficiently, and effectively to maintain environmental areas such as verges, hedges, and footpaths, ensuring all work is completed in line with statutory requirements.
Activities within this role include grass cutting, hand hedge trimming, and verge maintenance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
*Undertake a range of environmental maintenance works as part of a team
*Develop skills across different environmental disciplines
*Operate equipment and power tools safely and effectively
*Grass cutting in urban areas, following set routes and schedules
*Hedge trimming and general cutting-back tasks
*Verge maintenance using hand tools and equipment
Requirements
*Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
*Willingness to learn and follow health and safety procedures
*Good teamwork and communication skills
*Reliable, flexible, and hardworking
