Job Description:
The role focuses on managing and monitoring all incoming payments for the company, ensuring they are accurately recorded, allocated, and compliant with financial regulations. It involves resolving payment issues, handling banking processes, supporting internal teams and customers, and improving financial processes to ensure efficient and smooth income management operations.
Key Responsibilities
*Process and manage all incoming payments (cash, online, direct debit, refunds, etc.) accurately.
*Allocate, reallocate, and reconcile payments, ensuring a clear audit trail.
*Monitor and resolve unallocated, underpaid, or overpaid transactions.
*Manage banking processes including BACS, direct debits, chargebacks, and cheque issues.
*Handle and resolve internal and external payment-related queries from start to finish.
*Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and regulations (including GDPR).
*Maintain and manage Income Management systems, including user access and security.
*Analyse financial data and produce reports on income, discrepancies, and performance.
*Work with internal teams (AP, AR, Finance) and external stakeholders (banks, agencies) to resolve issues and improve processes.
*Identify and implement process improvements to reduce errors, increase automation, and improve efficiency.


Essential Skills & Experience
*Experience in income management, accounts receivable, or finance operations.
*Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
*Experience using financial systems/ERP tools and handling large data sets.
*Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
*High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
*Ability to analyse and resolve complex financial discrepancies.
*Good knowledge of banking processes (BACS, direct debits, reconciliations).
*Strong communication and customer service skills.
*Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
*Proactive problem-solving mindset with ability to work independently and in a team.
