Casual Road Workers
*Pay Rate: £13.65 per hour
*Location: Bury Council,Bolton, BL2
*Job Type: Full-time,
Bury Council are looking for three full-time Casual Road Workers to join their team. This role is based in Bolton and offers a competitive hourly rate. The position is initially available until 20th May 2026, with the possibility of extension. This role is ideal for individuals who are physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Perform general road maintenance and repair tasks.
*Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in road construction and repair.
*Lift heavy items and materials as required for road work.
*Work in various outdoor conditions and adhere to safety standards.
*Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
*Follow instructions from supervisors to meet the standards of road work within the community.
Required Skills & Qualifications
*Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items.
*Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
*Ability to operate road work-related machinery and tools (training provided if necessary).
*Good teamwork skills and ability to follow instructions.
*Previous experience in road work or construction is advantageous but not essential.
*Working Hours are Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 16.30pm, and Friday 8.00am - 13.00pm
