This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Finance Manager to oversee financial operations and strategy within the automotive and manufacturing sector. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and compliance effectively.

Description
Key Responsibilities
Management Accounts & Reporting
*Produce monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis
*Post journals, accruals, prepayments, and month-end adjustments
*Ensure timely and accurate month-end close process
*Maintain and develop meaningful KPIs to support business decision-making
*Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Cashflow & Working Capital
*Prepare and maintain rolling cashflow forecasts
*Monitor daily cash position and working capital requirements
*Track debtor and creditor balances and highlight risks or pressures
*Support cost control across purchasing, stock, and overhead spend
Transactional Finance
*Oversee day-to-day finance operations including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations
*Ensure accuracy and integrity of all transactional postings
*Review and process supplier payments and customer receipts
*Maintain clean and reconciled balance sheet accounts
Payroll & Compliance
*Manage monthly payroll processing, including PAYE and associated filings
*Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including VAT, PAYE, and other HMRC obligations
*Support preparation and submission of VAT returns
*Assist with statutory filings and Companies House requirements
Systems & Processes
*Maintain and improve finance processes and internal controls
*Support optimisation of accounting/ERP systems and reporting tools
*Identify and implement efficiencies in transactional and reporting processes
*Ensure financial data is accurate, consistent, and well-controlled
Business Support & Analysis
*Provide financial insight to support operational decision-making
*Work closely with operational teams to understand cost drivers and performance
*Support ad-hoc analysis including pricing, margins, and cost reviews
*Assist with insurance, contracts, and other business support tasks as required
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
*A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
*Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
*Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
*Experience in the industrial and manufacturing sector is desirable.
