I am delighted to be partnering with a private equity-backed group operating across the UK and Europe. This fast growing, ambitious business is going through an exciting period of transformation due to recent acquisitions.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Purchase Ledger to join a growing Finance team.
The Role
This role will support the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process across multiple operating entities, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, expenses, and payments, while maintaining strong financial controls and supporting cash flow management.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking to develop their career within a progressive, group finance environment.
Duties include:*Accurately post purchase invoices across multiple group entities
*Ensure correct coding to cost centres and nominal accounts
*Manage supplier queries and resolve discrepancies promptly
*Process employee expenses and company credit card transactions
*Prepare and process group payment runs in line with internal controls
*Post and reconcile cashbooks and supplier statements
*Investigate and resolve payment variances
*Support weekly group cash flow forecasting
*Assist with month-end close to ensure liabilities are accurately recorded
*Support preparation of payment data for inclusion in group cash forecasts
*Provide documentation and support for audits
*Perform VAT accuracy checks on purchase invoices
Person
*Previous experience in an Senior Accounts Payable or Senior Purchase Ledger role
*Experience working within a group or multi-entity environment
*Experience with ERP systems - Microsoft Business Central (desirable)
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail
*Strong organisational and communication skills
